Overcoming Fear & Anxiety - Part 1: Choose to Look Fear Straight in the Eye and Embrace it

Hey everyone, I'm super excited to release a new video today :) !!! This is going to be the first video in a new 3-part series, which was shot back in October. To top it off, this video also features a new, beautiful intro that I'm quite happy with; so, hopefully you all enjoy this one and learn a lot :D !! Let us know what you think about it in the comments section below or on YouTube!!

Lesson Description:

Do you guys always feel resistance to accomplish the things you need to get done? If so, you're not alone; most people who take on new goals / projects hardly ever complete them. Furthermore, people who buy books rarely even get past the first chapter (talk about a terrible return on investment, huh?).

Well, in this video, I'm going to talk about one of the greatest sources of resistance: fear / anxiety. Unlike other sources of resistance, fear and anxiety essentially sever your mind from your body. They place your consciousness in a "fight or flight" mode, which seeks to elevate your rate of survival.

In the past, this mechanism has definitely allowed our ancestors to survive threatening situations. However, in modern society, the lack of an immediate threat has made this survival tactic archaic. For example, basic fear responses induced from taking tests, performing things, etc hardly have an impact on your survival rate. In fact, they tend to halt progress and the potential to thrive in most situations. So, if you're an individual who's always working on your mind, this makes fear / anxiety one of the most detrimental sources of resistance.

This is mostly due to the fact that, when this mechanism is engaged, it allows your instincts to jump into the front seat and take full control. In essence, the power of our consciousness is unnecessarily sacrificed in favor of our instincts. So, in this particular video, we're going to dissect this mechanism and divulge the knowledge needed to overcome it. In subsequent videos, we'll then reveal actionable techniques essential for making use of this knowledge.

Hope you all enjoy the new video and learn something from it; thanks for watching :D !!!

Momentum & Flow States - Part 1: Why The Best Time to Start is NOW

10/17/2015

Picture
Hey everyone, today I'm releasing the first part of a video which has quickly become one of my favorites. Unfortunately, when I shot this a few months back, it ended up being way too long (we're talking close to around 1 hour and 20 minutes!!); so, I decided to split it into a few separate parts. Regardless, the fact that it's super long means two things. First of all, it implies that there's a LOT to say on this topic and even more to learn. Secondly, splitting up the video means there will be more content to look forward to in the future for you guys :). So, hopefully you enjoy these ideas and learn a lot from it; if you like this topic, stay tuned for more videos in the near future - which focus more on the "flow" idea.

Lesson Description:
In terms of the content presented in this video, this lesson is intended to further expand on the execution phase of The Kaizen Effect. As such, we're going to take a look at road blocks along your journey and explore strategies for taking action. When you first embark on your journey, the first thing everyone encounters is mental resistance. Our minds are naturally programmed to maximize output while minimizing energy, and they will use any logic or thought pattern to fulfill that tendency - even if that entails jeopardizing your dreams. For this reason, our minds tend towards disorder and struggle to engage in the present moment. In this video, we're going to thoroughly analyze this tendency and figure out how to combat it. In the end, I'll teach you how to take control of your willpower and project your mental energy, resources, and attention into any task at hand. This ability will then allow you to build momentum and become a formidable force - something that plows through resistance and makes anything happen. So, I hope that this arms you with some lethal tools for manifesting your dreams; it's quite a motivational video. Enjoy :D!!!

The Origin Of Success - Part 2: Why No One is Cut From a Different Cloth But May be Woven Into an Outlier

9/13/2015

Hey everyone, today I am super excited to release a new self-development video - the second part of "The Origin of Success". In this video, we'll pick up where we left off and heavily expand upon previous ideas/concepts. Again, the main intent is to remedy several miscontrued notions regarding success. In particular, most people truly believe that success is a quality inherent at birth - that people are either born a winner or loser. However, both life and research continually contradict this false belief. Most evidence clearly indicates that success is more a product of pure effort, dedication, and perseverance - not something you are born into. In this sense, no one is cut from a different cloth, but that cloth may be woven into a true outlier. By helping you realize this truth, I hope to renew your passions and conception of what's possible. Realize that you may have been dealt a hand which is difficult to work with, but, if you play it as best as you can, it  can grow into a winning hand - one that many admire for years to come. So, never give up, and continue chugging along on your journey :)!!

Check it out Here

Lesson Description:

In popular culture, success is usually misconstrued as a quality intrinsic at birth. However, research has shown that no one is cut from a different cloth. Rather, success is highly contingent upon an individual's opportunities and how they are fueled with time, effort, and dedication. In these series of videos, the main goal is to dissect this notion of success and pinpoint its basic constituents - to rectify the false beliefs prevalent in popular culture. In doing so, we will learn how to identify opportunities, implement them into our experiences, and fuel them with discipline. In the end, this will expedite your entire journey and place you one step closer to the life you want to lead.

Making The Time When There is No Time: Why Time is Your Most Valuable Asset

8/7/2015

Hey guys, today I'm super excited to release another self-development video which is sure to inspire lots of MASSIVE action. In this video, I transition into the execution phase of the Kaizen Effect - the phase where you take your dreams and manifest them in front of your eyes. In previous lessons, we have been focusing mainly on building up a robust, inner framework - of forging your purpose and assets to serve you on your journey. With a basis for action now in place, the goal is to take the plans we've developed and finally realize them. This obviously entails pouring time into your purpose and bringing it into reality, and that's what today's video/lesson is intended to do. Personally, I think this is the funnest portion of any journey (who doesn't like progres?!), and, for that reason, this one is SUPER inspirational. Hopefully you guys enjoy and get a lot out of it :)!!!

Check it out Here

Lesson Description:
Upon forging your life purpose, the next goal is to execute your plan and make it tangible. However, this is only possible if you fuel that purpose with sufficient time and effort; time is the only resource which drives you towards your end goals and final destination. Unfortunately, this is the area where most people falter and fail to manifest their wildest dreams. They disrespect their time and invest it in fruitless activities, instead of pouring it into their purpose. In this video, the main intent is to not only divulge this tendency but to also correct it. This will be accomplished by first explaining how time is your most valuable  asset. Then, we'll explore how people frivolously throw away this essential resource, as if it freely grows on trees. Such destructive behavior will not only be exposed but also dissected, in hopes of replacing it with more sustainable approaches. In the end, you will understand why no excuse is good enough, and we'll show you how to schedule your time such that it always works with you - not against you. This is the beginning of The Kaizen Effect's execution phase - the portion where your dreams become a reality; so, get motivated and pumped up, and join me as we grow into the greatest versions of ourselves together :)!

The Origin Of Success - Part 1: Why No One is Cut From a Different Cloth But May be Woven Into an Outlier

First of all, Happy 4th of July, everyone!!! On this day back in 1776, a great nation was born, and  with it came a newfound freedom that was never known before. From that day forward, every American was the sole dictator of his/her destiny; no longer was a person's life in the hands of external forces. One could now freely choose what to pour his/her time into, and this allowed everyone to pursue any endeavor he/she desired. In celebration of this idea, I'm releasing a new video/article which serves as the first in a new series. Focusing on success and where it originates, these videos are intended to pinpoint the ingredients of success and  explain how such knowledge can expedite any journey. So, as you celebrate the freedom tied to America's birth, take some time to educate yourself on what constitutes success, and such wisdom will guide you as  you pursue your dreams and progress in your journey.

Over the past few months, I have been QUITE busy and haven't been able to update the website as much. For the most part, this was mostly due to school (ie taking classes, teaching classes, conducting research, etc) - which is like working 4 jobs in and of itself. Fortunately, I am now done school and will be providing an exciting announcement about that sometime soon :). That means that I can dedicate a lot more time to this project and helping you guys grow into the greatest version of yourselves possible. To celebrate that fact, I have a new video/written lesson that was just released, and it's the longest self-development video to date. So, check it out when you get a chance and enjoy; this one has a LOT of useful and inspirational content regarding finding your life purpose. I'm sure it'll provide that extra motivation to either get on the right track or stick to your current goals.

Check it out Here

Lesson Description:
Prior to embarking on any journey, it is absolutely imperative that you first clearly define your underlying goals. In doing so, you figure out what you want and how to get it, and this helps to keep you on a clear path and align all action with your ambitions. Furthermore, it also lights a fire behind your eyes which energizes you to push through the most challenging issues found in any journey. In this lesson, you will not only learn about the power offered by a firmly established purpose, but it will also assist you in finding your own goals - to essentially structure your life. If followed properly, the principles taught in this video will completely change your identity. You will transform into an entity with unparalleled focus and direction, and your own personal boundaries will evolve to guarantee sustainable success and happiness. This is the central key towards a better life - the core ideas that will persist even in the face of the greatest odds.

How to Lead the Life You Want to Live: Take the Path of Most Resistance

3/7/2015

If you want to improve your life as much as possible but don't know where to start, this is a lesson designed especially for you. In today's self-development lesson, I go pretty deep on how to make choices in life such that they're conducive to your goals and underlying purpose. This is also going to give you a lot of motivation to do the "right" things which pave a greater future for yourself.  So, check out the video and written lesson when you get a chance; I know that you guys are going to love this one.

Check it out Here

Lesson Description:
In this lesson, I go deep on what you should do when you come to a fork in the road. Based upon our decisions in life, we end up opening and closing doors, and these ultimately pave our future. So, it's important that you not only think through these decisions properly, but you must also ensure that they are connected to your purpose and lead to a great future. Unfortunately, with survival essentially guaranteed in modern society, there is no evolutionary pressure anymore compelling us to always walk towards growth and development. So, humans naturally tend to fall into the path of least resistance - the easy way out that fails to contribute to your purpose. Although expedient in the moment, this path ultimately leads to the destruction and atrophy of your talents, skills, mind, and body. If you want to lead a life filled with success and happiness, you must continually challenge yourself to rise to the path of most resistance. This is the path which promotes growth, develop, and the skills essential for leading the life you want to live. By watching this video, you'll learn learn more about this natural state and how to counteract it. Furthermore, I'll also teach you how to transform it into a useful tool which guides you towards success - instead of leading you astray.

Painting your Picture of Reality - Part I

2/12/2015

Picture
So, this is the first self-development lesson released on the website, and it's quite an important one; it's about shaping your perceptions such that they always work with and motivate you.  In subsequent videos/lessons, I will most likely refer back to this one - as its applications are almost endless.  Since it ended up being very long, I decided to split it up into two separate parts (at least for the article).  So, in a few weeks or so, I'll be submitting the second part; however, the current video included in the lesson is complete and intended to cover both parts.  Hope you guys enjoy it and learn something interesting :)!

Check it out here

Lesson Description:
In this self-development lesson, we take a look at how your perceptions of the world are formed and affect your immediate life - covering all topics from sensation to action. In the long run, we are all the painters of our own realities; so, we must train ourselves to paint an existence which supports our endeavors and always gives more than it takes. Why unconsciously form an existence you'll grow to hate when you can craft a world you love - a world that always works with you?
